Does anyone know if ebay seller mlspeakerman is a member here?
Or if anyone has bought from them and has a contact email? They have an item I am interested in, but would like to deal outside of eBay if possible.
"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King

Holy crap. That makes me feel great for my numbered. I know there is a debate between PC and numbered books but do the prices vary a lot? Is one more valuable than the other?

So Steve, do you mean you have a lettered and PC. Much respect.

Yes, I was offered a lettered and a PC of IT and FULL DARK NO STARS back when they were published.
I thought it over for about two seconds and said yup.

CD auctions always seem to go for higher prices vs. other listings, but this one still seems more irrational than usual.
As I mentioned last week, this is about $1,000 more than the highest selling price for an actual numbered copy on eBay. ($2625.00)
For $3600+ I'd have to start giving consideration to selling mine.

Question: Is this a good price for 11/22/63 in today's market? If yes, why? Thanks.
John
Maybe 500.00 with the slip case. This book signed always seemed to sell above what I thought it should be worth.
Also this is not a deluxe edition, it’s only a signed trade. The deluxe edition came in a tray case and had a 150.00 price on the front flap inside. At least to me that would make it a deluxe edition, plus it had a two part dust jacket. the one in this auction only has a regular d.j. With a 35.00 price on the flap.
This was a trick question...sorry. There is something very wrong with this auction and I hope no one here at tdt.org has plans to bid on this lot. The seller should be ashamed for not providing a complete description...
John
What is certain about this book is that it is NOT a 1st/1st. Or am I blind? So who pays that much money for a 1st/2nd on such a recent book?
John
It's a second with a sketchy signature.
"One day you're going to figure out that everything they taught you was a lie."
Your right, I forgot that. I have two different tray cases, one is a red one that I think was a CD one, and the other has a light cloth covering with a magnet clasp is this the one from the collector? I got these both on the aftermarket .
Plus I didn’t even give the signature a good look. Now that I have it is very iffy, to neat IMHO.

It'll be interesting to see what this auction ends up going for with an opening bid of $500.
It was hell's season, and the air smelled of burning children
It's not really much, I agree. Getting one at $12.99 is a fair price. Anything much more than that is not a value. But when has value been the motivating factor for a collector?
