In Song of Susannah King himself claims that the town Tull was named after the rockband Jethro Tull. I wonder if they gave him the inspiration for Blaine the mono as well...:orely:
Blaine is also known as Charlie, and is basically a train gone out of control. When I first read The Waste Lands I immidiatly thought of a song by Jethro Tull called "Locomotive Breath" from -72
Here´s the first verse of the song:
"In the shuffling madness
Of the locomotive breath,
Runs the all-time loser,
Headlong to his death.
He feels the piston scraping
Steam breaking on his brow
Old Charlie stole the handle and
The train won't stop going
No way to slow down."
Whaddaya think?:p
