I wrote a poem based on a certain scene in The Dark Tower IV. Spoiler warning: reveals the fate of a primary character.
The Last Sunrise
The silver light
Casts ghosts upon her skin
Upon her horse
Anxious, she waits for him
He cleans his guns
Knowing this night, he can
Never go back
Once, for love, blood is spilled
Ka is a wheel
To deny it, a curse
But forsaken love,
Like death, is surely worse
In this world that
Has moved on, it’s said
Ka is a wind,
And so tears will be shed
In their embrace,
They know this to be true
His quest is hard,
Yet he must see it through
He plants her face
Into his heart and mind
Not knowing that
This is their last goodbye
Betrayed again
By the evil pink glass
And though the flames
Engulf most of her cries
“I love thee!” she screams into the last sunrise
