The poll will run for seven days. Discussion is greatly encouraged!

The nominees are (please let me know if any video doesn't play for you):

i LOVED Arrival.. but Deadpool really knocked it out the park. They did something THAT every comic movie before them.. was scared to do. You all cannot give credit to Cabin in the Woods for that... yet ignore it here:(

I don't disagree with you, I think Deadpool is one of the ballsiest movies a studio has made considering the price tag and the fact that CBMs movies are considered risks if they're not aimed at the four-quadrant crowd. Plus, it's just a blast and Reynolds plays the part to perfection. He will be to Deadpool what Jackman is to Wolverine and Downey Jr. is to Iron Man.

Having said that, Arrival is a masterfully crafted sci-fi roller coaster that's really, ultimately a love story. Its aesthetics, score, powerful emotional core. Its message about the importance of communication. It all combines into such a great package. I would not be upset at all actually if Arrival took the whole tournament.

Arrival is absolutely a masterpiece. Deadpool was fun but that's it.

I tried to watch Arrival on a plane ride from Japan a few years ago. Slept through most of it.

Hey love Arrival but I do not believe its the best of the tourney.... I think INCENDIES is a better film of his.

So if I have seen neither, should I vote for the one I want to see but haven't, or abstain? So far I have abstained through out the tournament in these situations, but just wondering what others do.

I would suggested seeking out both and watching. You still have plenty of time and both are great, but of course Arrival is much much better.

Yeah I agree, at this point Deadpool shouldn't be in contention, especially not against Arrival, which is indeed a masterpiece. It's such an interesting exploration of language, which we all as readers should deeply appreciate.

The poll has closed. Deadpool moves on and Arrival is eliminated.

It seems of the two heartwarming love stories, Deadpool was preferred.
