Easy 5.
I loved Black House. Interestingly, I did not care for The Talisman at all. I think I voted it a 2, but it really should have been a 1.5. But Black House is easily in my top-10 King, closer to top 5.

This exactly!

pablo, can bears give it a 10? Or vote twice?

Sadly no, you know how this works :)

The Talisman suffered from an inconsistent narrative tone and a meandering plot line. Black House, in contrast, was tight, integrated, and a powerhouse read. Rare when the sequel surpasses the 1st installment. An easy 5.

My most favored King book. Followed by "The Talisman, The Shining and Dr. Sleep".

Have you ever read The Talisman? Or you read it but don't remember much about it?
In either case, I would say you don't have to read The Talisman first in order to enjoy Black House. But knowing some of the rudimentary plot might serve as good background.

I remember the Talisman pretty good to be honest... but not a thing about Black House... It is strange.. since I started this post there a few books I cannot remember (Girl who Loved Tom Gordon being another one). I know I have read everything that has come out but I used to smoke a lot of pot so that could have something to do with it to be honest. haha
The poll has closed. Black House has earned a FAS (final average score) of 4.500000000 or 90.00%. It received a rating of 5 with 10 votes.
