I don't know how I missed it before, but the book looks like it has a Barnes & Noble "Autographed Copy" sticker on it.
It sure looks that way.

It would not be hard to imagine that he strolled into a Barnes & Noble. We know he has been in Atlanta for
Brothers of Darkland Co., he often is in NYC and there is always Florida or Maine.
He has signed many books in the past at various stores, not unusual at all.
It's nice of someone to contribute it to the Haven auctions.
Merlin, there is a story, but I am sworn to secrecy.
sentinel-Yes, someone is VERY nice.
FYI, here is the info I can share:
An anonymous collector and member of TDT.org had been trying to come up with a suitable donation for the Haven Fundraiser. In his varied attempts he tried to put himself in the right place at the right time. Efforts were made to acquire a signed Ghost Brothers T-Shirt however without results (so far) the collector continued trying to research when and where he might have another opportunity for a fitting Haven donation. With determination and multiple trips to locations Mr. King might frequent he eventually acquired details from sources who had recently seen Mr. King. His efforts then focused on being at the right spot just at the right time which resulted in him finding a stack of TWTTK books freshly signed and labeled on 4/25 .
Very, very Cool!!! Way to go un-named person!!!!!!

Yes, very awesome of the un-named person. I wonder how much of the "stack" remained after their visit. That's completely fair too, given the legwork, research and timing that went into this search.
Less than 3 hours. This is the ONLY one on Ebay. A Scribner 1st TWTTK will not be an easy/cheap (less than $500) book to obtain. Unless something dramatically changes in the next few weeks, there will be only a few dozen of these-far less than the 200 UK S/L, and way less than the Grant S/L.
It's for a good cause, and you can write it off on your taxes-anything over "fair market value" (as always, consult your tax attorney).
$837.88 VERY COOL
The King Collectible market is ON FIRE! Major $$$'s being shelled out for items as of late!
$800.00+ for a Flatsigned book! Awesome for the Fundraiser! Way to go Jerome!
Don't thank me-thank the generous donor, and the auction winner! I just convey the monies to the Fundraiser. Although I work hard at it, there would be no work to do without incredibly generous people.
BTW, as mentioned, a signed Scribner TWTTK is going to be a tough find, and a signed UK TWTTK trade even tougher....... But I like tough...
