The following poems were written by my daughter. She has a vivid imagination and would like others opinions that are not tainted by friendship. In other words, her friends are afraid to hurt her feelings if they are critical of the work or fear she will get mad if they don't like them. So have fun with these and let me know what you think.
How do you describe color
How do you describe a color
You see that's what I ponder
How can you tell a blind man
His skin is tan
Or that his blood is red
The color that I dread
Or tell him the leaves are green
a color he's never seen
Or that it turns brown
The color of the ground
Can you tell him the color of a fire hydrant is silver
He can just call it liver
can you tell him the color of milk
Is the same as silk
You see how can you describe a color
I guess I just have to ponder.
Sister's Secret
Erie screams echo the halls
Blood runs down the satin walls
Mother and father on the floor
Big Sister settles the score
Little brother went insane
There is nothing left to gain
Father and mother now sleep in the sea
Oh how she wished it couldn't be
Mother and father saw no other
But a perfect little brother
She doesn't regret what she did
As long as long as she can save the kid
As the blood leaked from the wound
The town was no longer doomed
Now she sits all alone
The whole town wants her stone.
