“The battle between good and evil is endlessly fascinating because we are participants every day.” - Stephen King
Yeah, me too. I plan on starting it tonight. I really like most of Simmons' work.
John
Yeah, me too. Most but not all. I think I'll read McCammon first.
Enjoying this story very much.
A good thing, because I was so looking forward to it.
Less than a hundred pages left.
Bev, The Five is next in line.
Received my signed copy from SubPress earlier this week.

Dan Simmons will be appearing at Mysterious Galaxy in San Diego onSaturday, Sunday July 10. I plan to go and was wonderng if anyone else might be in the neighborhood?
More information here.
I'd like to join you, Bob, but it's just too far away.
If you are inclined to pick me up an inscribed 1st/1st of latest book or two, I'd reimburse you!
By the way, the 10th is on Sunday (not Saturday).
Have fun and take lots of photos!

Just checked Mysterious Galaxy's website ...

Did anyone order/receive signed books from Simmons 2(?) appearances?
I'll post a UK S/L of Phases of Gravity soon-ish.
UPS just delivered:
Nice books, Jerome.
Just got this proof in today. It is a big, heavy thing. Been looking for this one for a while.
Congratulations. Anything from the (now long defunct) Dark Harvest company is of great interest to me.
Congratulations Jerome and Bob!

I think the only Dark Harvest proof I own is Night Visions 5, signed by Simmons.

I'm a bit embarrassed to admit this but...I've never read anything by Simmons. I've been told I have to read Carrion Comfort first. Is this where I should start or has he written something better?
I started with his first book, Song of Kali. I've read lots of his stuff since, but that one really impressed me. Two of his later works, The Terror and Drood are also awesome!
