The answer is within
all matter is energy, all energy is GOD
I interpreted it more as a disinterested deity who leaves our lives and choices up to us (freewill) as opposed to one who has a plan, keeps his eye on the sparrow, and, indeed, planned the sparrow's life and the lives of all others (determinism).
Jerome, I will stay and help as I can.
It'll take a lot more than words and guns,
A whole lot more than riches and muscle.
The hands of the many must join as one.
And together we'll cross the river.

Ask not what bears can do for you, but what you can do for bears. (razz)
When one is in agreement with bears one is always correct. (mae)
bears are back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
News indeed!
Congrats Matt & gang!
Ugh, reading the news I thought for a second that Stephen King might be interested in the content...
Sometime I'm just a stupid child.
-What do we usually do about bad things that aren't of our concern?
-Well...we laught about it.
-Then, my friend, once you're in the grave death might be a lot more fun than what we expect.

I'm just reading this now and I'm not sure how I feel about it. Regardless, I'd like to thank Matt, Dora, Hannah, and Aaron for running this place for all these years. It's been a blast and I'm thankful to have been invited her amongst all these great people. Hopefully everyone will move along with the content over to the new site.
A NEW GAME BEGINS
Sweetness on the sale! Congrats Patrick! And Jereome has one of the biggest hearts I've ever had the honor of knowing. The site will remain in good hands. The Pere is always there.
Congrats Matt.
Nosey guy that I am, I have to ask....did you recoup the $ that you put into the site over the last couple years?
And hey, while we are on the topic, give us some more dirt on the deal. Did King contact you? Marsha? King's attorney? Someone from the movie company?
Throw us a bone man...tell the tale!!!!!!

I do too, but I think someone may have to change the forum colors a bit to match.
Yes, I'm OCD about stuff like that.

I will say we did better than our investment. The site has been a labor of love so I call that a plus for sure.
When official news of the movie came out it was natural for us to consider the idea that the domain name might be worth something now so we felt around. Turns out it was and I'm really glad that Stephen King is the new owner.
I really hope to see the site addy on trailers of the movie...I'll feel like we had something to do with that.
The kindness of close friends is like a warm blanket
That would be so awesome.
A true firewasp ninja would never wear such a ridiculous sweater.
There's logic in nonsense.
Give me all the bacon and eggs you have.
So I had this friend who changed his phone number.
I wrote down the new number and used it.
Sometimes I called the old number out of habit and someone else answered. I apologized and then redialed.
Every time I dialed the correct number, it was always my same old good friend on the other end of the line.
This whole topic is about as earth-shattering as a changed phone number. The important thing is that we still know where to find our friends.

Well said, Patrick.

Spot on Patrick
Something new!!!!
*runs in fear!*
All that's left of what we were is what we have become.
Pro tip: while making new banner, save in a non-compression format (ie PNG), so it doesn't look like a ghost shit all over it.
Congrats on the big sale! What a cool thing!!! Hope the check is good!!! LOL
Jerome, we will all be here to support you! I know I am not on much (no internet at home) but I do pop in to keep in the loop!!!
And RF...no bombs, ok?
Promise me you'll always remember: You're braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think.
