Mark Whalberg was, by far, the best thing in the Departed.
Mark Whalberg was, by far, the best thing in the Departed.
I shouldn't have stated it so matter of factly. Just my opinion.
I really like Whalberg and I've watched Shooter twice in the past week so he's what jumped out to me after reading Amanda's quote.
He was very good, I agree. Baldwin steals the show for me though and that scene is mostly why.
Maybe if Whalberg had more scenes he could have won you over completely?
Maybe if he sang a little.

btw, i am just screwing around. i like wahlberg as an actor, though i like few of the projects he chooses and don't see a lot of his work. he was very good in the departed though.
I think you woke up on the wrong side of the bed.
He's got a lot of natural talent but I agree about a lot of the projects he chooses. Shooter was awesome though. I think you'd sympathize with the politics of the movie if you haven't seen it.
I will have to throw it in the netflix queue at some point.
Where's he supposed to live?
591, 12th St.
Which 12th St.?
There's more than one?
You don't know anything, do ya kid?
South 12th St.'s over there. North 12th Street is about 20 blocks that way. There's 12th St. in Park Slope. that's just Brooklyn. In Manhattan, there are two, and in Queens... I can't even figure out Queens.

It'll take a lot more than words and guns,
A whole lot more than riches and muscle.
The hands of the many must join as one.
And together we'll cross the river.
