Looks nice !

A bit of self indulgence here...
I've worked from home for nearly 20 years now, across a number of companies and roles, so the Pandemic lock down didn't really affect me too much (apart from a complete cease on travel!) I've worked in the house whilst my kids were small and for the last 12 years, I have spent most of my days in a 9' square Garden office. Over the years the space in that office has got smaller and smaller as I accumulated more and more stuff and more recently a wall of Suntup boxes....
I've been planning to replace this since before COVID and then my original plans were scuppered because of it. However I am now happy to say, my new Garden office is now built and I have the opportunity to expand my library space with some additional bookcases. Finally books that have never seen the light of day can be put on show...
This is now the view from my desk:
and this is the outside:
The bookcases are a work in progress and I'm still deciding what to put in here and what to leave on the main bookcase, but I'm getting there.
"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King
There was a Pandemic?

Great setup.

Well you explained the layout to me, however now I have seen the images, absolutely gorgeous Simon.
I can picture hours of entertainment finally placing everything “just so”.
Wonderful!!!
I feel your pain - seems like my office keeps getting smaller as I keep adding stuff. It looks amazing, Simon!!!!!
Very nice, Simon.

That looks fun setting up, need any help?
What a great environment. I’d work very long hours in there, and you know when I say work, I mean..sit staring at those shelves.
Perfect

Looks awesome Simon. Simply awesome. I am already running out of space and I am really limited as to what I can do. But that does look great.
