Frozen embryos.
Not a snack for a hot day though!
All that's left of what we were is what we have become.
A gag reflex here from me.
That's sort of like snacking on candled eggs after they came back in as inviable, warm out of the incubator.
Maybe caviar
All that's left of what we were is what we have become.
Then being egg shaped, it will be easy to turn!
All that's left of what we were is what we have become.
Yeah, in circles!

I do not see the answer.
The answer is in disguise as it keeps moving past your eyes. (hint)

Spontaneous generation is the answer! A swan necked flask filled with sterile goose broth for you!
The 'past your eyes' clue was a reference to Louis Pasteur, i.e pasteurized.
I so do love word play!
Great riddle! I got the "pasteurized" hint, which led me to milk, which led me to cows, which led me to artificial insemination.
Your second hint got me off the pregnancy train of thought. I first thought of bacteria (as pasteurization kills bacteria), then of mitosis (Some Instant Offspring, Disregarding Procreation), and then the "approved but disproved" made me think of spontaneous generation (how people used to think maggots spontaneously emerged from rotten meat, and that was disproved by Redi). I got the wrong scientist, but the right idea.
Thanks for the riddle.

Good work!
Having lived and worked on an New England farm, artificial insemination still gives me a shudder.
Elbow plus deep in a cow's rectum while the the other hand does the procreation magic.
I doubt that Jon could even say 'I saw that once in a porno'.
Wait!!
Spontaneous Generation has been proven wrong???!!!?
So much for fishin' worms coming from horse tail hairs.
I need to get out more!

Of COURSE!
Why didn't I think of that?
