Since this section is for individual character discussion, I thought I might as well make a thread for the best character in the series: The Tick Tock Man!
If only there was a whole book dedicated to this far too short-lived character...

Have you heard of people with short fuses? Well, I have no fuse at all, and there's a thousand could testify to it if I hadn't stilled their tongues for good.

I agree, he seemed like he had a whole mythology of his own behind him, I'd also be interested in hearing more about that.
meh. I liked The Tick Tock Man and he had some good funny moments. I thought he was a fitting charcter for Jake to make his first kill, but that was good enough for me. He served his purpose, imo.

bears are back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay I see he was a great character but I wasn't fond of him a lot.
Can you tell me guys why you like him so much?
Roland would have understood.
I cannot say that I liked Mr. Quick, but he was certainly an interesting fellow heehehe.

I LOVED that! But, Ticky isn't essential to the rest of the story. So he had to go. So sorry, Ticky, bye-bye.

Lud needed to have a cool "head bad guy" and Tick Tock filled those boots and then some. He's just a great supporting character, and yes, his quick temper (or lack of a fuse altogether as he said) was quite amusing.
Cry your pardon but I didn't give Tick Tock a second thought. His role was very minor, smaller and less interesting than Gasher even, and not too exciting imo.
Roland would totally kick his ass.
I liked Ticky because I would have loved to know how the politics inside Lud had broken down over the years.
Also, where did his grandpappy get the German plane?

I want all kinds of fanfiction on this site.
I plan to put a sub page on fan art to showcase some of the best stuff.
I wonder if we need a subforum at Turtleback for it.

great!
and now, as Monty Python would have put it, for something completely different
back to The Tick Tock Man

Back to Ticky!!
I realize that "Flagg" went and got him to bring him to the Emerald palace but my question is why?
Just to give him another chance to kill them?

I liked alot of the Lud stuff, Wastelands was one of my favourite books by far. I think alot of the story there redeems roland for what he did to Jake in the Gunslinger.

I totally agree with that. Roland and Oy going after him made everything Jake had done for them mean something.

You know, you can go to the Ancient Scrolls forum and write one up for the future Towerpedia, if you'd like.

Nah, I don't remember enough details about him. Unless "He's totally rad" would be adequate...

Well, somebody has to start somewhere! Even a sentence or two would be a start. If you change your mind, let me know and I'll put a thread in for you.

Well, I suppose I can put what I do remember. Although there's a fairly decent chance that it'll be incorrect...

Oh, you are evil, LOL. I will put in a thread, just for you. I'm happy when anyone makes an effort.
And don't worry, I'll be verifiying info before I put it out on the Wiki. But it would be nice to have someone give it a start.
Your thread is in the Ancient Scrolls forum under the sub-forum Characters. And I appreciate any help I can get!
