Pretty bad year, imo. Especially considering I've usually seen at least two of the movies getting nom for Best Picture. Country and Blood had far too limited a release around here. It was too predictable, the films that would show up here because there was only a handful of good (as in oscar worthy) films out this year. I'm even less interested this year than I was last year.
Since I haven't seen the movies that will win the big awards I can't add much besides I thought Michael Clayton deserves an 8/10 from me, the directing was solid and Wilkinson was phenomenal but I'm sure will be beat by Bardem. Some categories look completely weak like Song and Make Up.
