No Culture Icons - The Thermals Thread

Looking for a good lo-fi indie/punk band? Look no further than Portland Oregon's Thermals. The music is rockin' with more than a little pop sensibility. Four albums in and song writer Hutch Harris is really starting to mature as a songwriter while still maintaining a sound that is Thermals through and through.

This band comes recommended by myself and Fruno. What more could you ask for? Video?

So, I'm looking at their Wikipedia bio (don't shoot), and their first album was mixed by Chris Walla at the Hall of Justice after being given to Sub Pop by Ben Gibbard.(!) Death Cab's one of my favorite bands.

Yeah, I've been listening to them a lot lately. I live three hours outside of Portland. Hopefully they'll come back to Oregon to tour soon.

Hey, I'm about to update this thread with the news that I'm going to see the Thermals soon. And am excited.

I'm extremely pissed... I was supposed to go see Pavement tomorrow and then the Thermals on the 9th in Portland, but my friend decided to go to Hawaii and I don't want to drive the three hours alone.
