    ::airkiss::

    it's the first time that I see Melissa spelled with an "i". Is there any story behind it? This way the root of the word looks definitely Slavonic.

    The story behind the spelling of my name. Well, my birth mother left my dad with four children, me included, when I was 6 months old. When I was almost 3 years old, my dad married the woman I call mom and she raised me. She decided to start spelling my name with an I instead of E because it was different. Not an exciting story, I am afraid.

    Its nearly 23 years since I sat the Leaving Cert (1985) and I failed Irish big time too . At the time I didn't care but now I wish I had studied it better as I ashamed that I can't speak it fluently.

    1980 for me. & yes - the language is dying fast, and I guess it is something we (as a nation) ought to be ashamed of.

    I'll apologize for this one in advance, but I'm LMAO so I have to go there.

    My dad's standard response:

    "What's my name? Puddentain. Ask me again and I'll tell you the same."

    Damn, I miss him sometimes.

    Dags doesn't want us to know her real name because then we'll know A. What her name is B. What she looks like C. Where she's from and D. What her specialty is! It's not going to have to take a whole lot of pictures for them to point her out!
