Thanks for the warm welcome, John - I'll definitely drop by more often!
I logged in for the first time in years a couple of days ago and spent a few pleasant hours browsing the collection threads. A great trip down memory lane! This one caught my eye - I'm pretty sure...
So, this was pretty cool - a trip down memory lane! I didn't realise my collection thread was still there and it even includes photos! Needless to say, almost all these books are gone. I did get a...
Very sad news... it inevitably happens on long-running forums like this one (I also still think of John Hanic every now and then) but it sucks nonetheless..
Hi all, it's been a while since I posted anything on the forum!
Quick question: what would a full set of King US 1st/1st hardcovers set you back these days? I haven't kept up with market values...
The copy in this pic is the one I got for $500 back in the day.
Yeah, I guess prices have gone up since I was still collecting :) if I find a reasonably priced one I'll let you know.
The Carrie ARC is not very hard to find, fortunately. You'll get one if you want to. I owned a few different copies and the cheapest one I got was $500 (it was a while ago, though).
I owned two different copies, not sure where they are now :) but it's a scarce one!
*edit: all the older UK proofs are scarce, of course. For me, the hardest ones were the UK Thinner proof (found...
Great idea! I don’t collect anymore but otherwise I would have tried my best to secure that Cell proof. And I would have been honored to show a pic of it here. Looking forward to seeing people’s new...
The UK-based collector is Jon(athan) but yes, it is quite a coincidence. Not many big proof collectors out there and to have two of them selling their collections at the same time... I wish them both...
Is Jon planning to sell his other proofs as well, or are these just surplus/duplicate copies? He has one of the best proof collections out there. I sold him a lot of my stuff over the years. Great...
Haven’t read it in a long time but I remember loving it!
It's the same in Italy; it's about space limitations versus money. In my wife's village of San Giovanni di Polcenigo the cemetery is very small (a kid could run around the entire perimeter wall...
Sorry guys, I had some errands to take care of so I was unable to update my post but all books are SOLD. I was actually surprised by how many messages I received :) thank you, everyone!!
Alas, I abandoned FB a long time ago ;-)
I did get some messages so we'll see what happens!
UPDATE: ALL BOOKS SOLD!
Hi guys, I have a question for my fellow Dutch forum members (and perhaps our neighbours from Belgium and Germany).
I am looking to sell the last bunch of books from my...
My random comment for the day: I am a huge thrash/death metal fan but man, I loooooove Albatross (Fleetwood Mac). Such a sweet little track.
Stay healthy, everyone.
I am very happy that Paul decided to produce an AGE for this book. Suntup’s AGE’s are the only books I still collect (other than medical textbooks). Great choice of book and I love the DJ!
