Oh man, I can't wait to see what people come up with for this one - it makes me wish I was artistic!
I haven't done any drawing for ages. I keep meaning too... leave it until the next day... then the contest is over. I had a nice idea for the previous Mia contest too, but mental art doesn't get showcase unless you're on a forum of telepaths. (Any breakers find their way here? No?)
Whether my art would be any good or not is a whole other issue...
We'd still love to see it! Give it a try!
Heck yeah! Even my rough drawing of Eyebolt got a few votes.
Nice, I can't wait to see the submissions for this one!
I actually dreamed last night that I drew a fantastic picture for this context. I woke up when I realized Oy wasn't in it; but the picture was very, very beautiful.
Will you try one then, and post it for us? :D
yes, when the saga of You Know What is over!
i drew a picture!... but i just drew Oy... is that the contest? i probably should've put other stuff in the picture.. i'm trying to convert the pdf to a jpeg now so i can upload it.
The contest is for Oy. You can put in a background if you want, but it's not necessary. :)
so do i post the picture here? maybe i'll try to color it on MS Paint.
Yes, post it in this thread. When the thread closes, I'll post all the entires in a voting thread. :)
here we go.. i didn't try coloring it yet.

Nice! He has a happy little expression on his face. :)
that was the only way i could get the muzzle to look right from the front.
It's cute, though. :D
Ummm.........very cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
just playing around....
this is "My" OY....:P ha ha

Well, I felt the breeze blow by as that went over my head - care to elaborate?
had a hell of a time getting the picture to post... anyway... now it's there...
he's my OY anyways...
Aah, I see it now! He's a cutie!
And the reflection is S C A R Y!
ok.... so here's my story and i'm sticking to it...
definitely open to interpretation...
in the dark tower, mordred - who represents the ultimate evil , turns into a giant spider.
in " IT ", pennywise, who represents the ultimate evil, also turns into a giant spider.
my "opinion" is that these two are actually "twinners", from different stephen king universes. not a stated fact anywhere... just my viewpoint.
the ghostly boy in my pic, could be a "normal" boy - from the "It" universe - playing gunslinger, but he is really a "Twinner" of Jake.
both pennywise and the twinner Jake are fading though into my universe via thinny in my backyard -
which as all the locals know... is definitely a place, where strange "Things" happen.... specifically the area around my pool,
my pup "Thing" is most likely "OYs" twinner.
and that's the honest to gosh truth.... as i know it.
PS. Thing doesn't bark really - he talks.... really... the sounds that come out of his mouth are so human-like., i swear he's trying to actually speak. just like OY
and he definitely has an OY-like curly tail
Beam's Oy is amazingly cute, I really like it.
And that is one hell of a story Boomme--great entry into the contest.
I really, really wish I could draw.
thank you Matt
i get my artistic qualities from my mother i think.
beam your oy is just precious.
i wish i could draw something, resembling anything. i can draw a stick figure. does that count?
TS, if you draw a stick figure Oy, I will personally send you a check to purchase it from you.
Hey you guys, there was just a beautiful raccoon outside the glass door
at my house just now. I think he was here to tell me to start a new "painting". :wtf: Yea!http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:...2520Racoon.jpg
SWEET! Looking forward to it!
thanks t/s! i guess all the really artistic people are taking so long because they're doing something amazing to put my poor Oy to shame...
it's ok i'm proud of him.. I don't think the one in the DTVII hard cover looked accurate.. My Oy has thick, silky fur and gold rings around his eyes... i feel like whoever made those pics in that book didn't even read the description of Oy.
i agree completely!
:couple:
i was just looking at the pic like.... what did they just tell him to mix a raccoon and a dog? could've read the books... geesh.. i'm all for artistic license and stuff, but he was going to be giving OY a FACE for Gan's sake! a lil respect please!
/rant
I am afraid mine looks too much like my little visiting racoon.

that's a good "paint" job Linda!.... i'm not sure i can draw on the computer...
Thank you, its takes a bit of practice. I rather like painting, it
demands my attention, unlike when I draw on paper or some other
thing. Then it is more automactic I think, it flows. I'm just not sure
that what I painted was Oy , or the "visitor" at my door. :wtf:
Bears love both! the Lion's one is a little too cute, and the Linda's one looks a little clumsy... but they are both great anyway!
thanks, I was going for Oy protecting the camp...:)
i tweaked my Oy after i posted him here. i took away the cutesy smile and added the tree... you know which one.
I don't know how the heck you do that on the computer, alinda, but I really like the style. And Beam, are you going to post up a revised picture?
