Currently playing Samurai Warriors 2 Empires. It's kind of addictive.
We got stuck on this weird "storm the beach for WWII" game. I can't remember the name, it was pretty fun.
My 14 year old son is chomping at the bit right now to get Spider-Man 3 for the PS2. I think the kid would literally do anything for 50 bucks at this point. :cyclops:
I'm the stereotypical girl when it comes to games - I love me some RPGs most of all. FF, Kingdom Hearts, that sort of thing. However, I also like God of War, GTAs, and Bond games. (Anybody remember Slaps Only mode in, what was it? Goldeneye? OMGhilarious.) I like puzzlers, too - Myst 3: Exile drove me nuts for a while, but I got it now and am working my way through it after having owned it for five years or something. Katamari Damacy cracks me the hell up, too. I mean, really. What the hell? I ask you. Royal Rainbow, indeed.
Ooh, I dig driving games too. Midnight Racer, Gran Turismo, that sort of thing.
MoH : Frontline is the one with the Omaha beach battle.
Crap, I just realized that I misspelled Firaga, may I ask a moderator to change it for me please?
Final Fantasy 8 will always be the best. I actually own a gunblade...
*nerd*
I own a gunblade too. :p
Believe it or not, FF 9 is, and always will be, my favorite final fantasy. Hell, it's one of my most treasured games period.
I like FF, obviously. :P Right now I'm playing FF12 (it takes me a while to finish a game like this). I'm big on zombie games as well.
Not playing anything right now for once. I'm an old school game freak, however. The original NES brings too much happiness for me. Thank goodness for Games 4 Less here to feed my addicition.
I have been playing a bit of shadowbane just because it is free. I recently retired my World of Warcraft account. Other than that, I play a lot of Guitar hero 2, and various RPGs that cross my path.
I thnk I may dig into FF12 now that school is almost over for the semester

FF3 (or 6, depending on where you are), obviously :P
..
That just made me realise how long ive had this handle for. 11 years!
FF3US is the best FF game of the series IMO.
Many video game "experts" consider FF VI to be the best FF of all time.
Right now I'm spreading myself out across three video games : FF 12, Manhunt (BRUTAL game), and Dirge of Cerberus.
How exactly does one become a "video game expert"?
Are they designers, or just gamers who sit around and play all day?
You know, all those cocky f***s that work for EGM or Game Informer. They think that just because they write reviews for a living that they're opinion is 100% accurate.
Ah....self-defined "experts"
Oh Gods! Kingdom Hearts is like some bad fan fiction-turned-game. I mean, honestly? Disney characters mixed with FF characters mixed with original characters? Yuck. The minute I saw Goofy and Donald running around with some girly-boy and Cloud Strife I decided I hated the game. I mean, I saw the storyline, I know it, and I don't like it. Ew.
Aside from that, which is more a rant than anything (and for which I express no appologies, since its my opinion and I am entitled to it) I'm a big Final Fantasy Freak. I've got 4 (American 2, I think), and 5 (American 3, I'm pretty sure), and I had 7, 8, and 9, and now I have 12, as well. (The only ones I hate are X and X-2, which shouldn't exist, because it was supposed to be the final fantasy of that universe.)
I love the Chrono games, too. Chrono Cross, Radical Dreamers, and Chrono Trigger. Oh how I love them. <3
Also, the Mana, or Seiken Densetsu series is awesome as hell. My favorite, of course, being Legend of Mana, the unofficial 4th in the series.
Jeez, this is too big a post for me. XD I'll stop here.
I personally love the KH series, and I think that whoever came up with the idea of FF and Disney coming together to form something like this not only has balls, but is a genius.
On another note, I'm about 47 hours into FFXII, and I feel like i still have a lot to go. Anybody here pass FF12 yet?
Well, its your opinion. I still hate it. XD
Nah, I've only clocked 5 hours max on 12. I been playing 4/2. I actually haven't been playing at all, the past few weeks. I've been working and writing and sleeping. ^^;; I should play later.
So you just started 12 , eh? The only advice I can give you is - LEVEL UP , LEVEL UP, LEVEL UP
I do that anyways, hon. XD By the time I have 6 hours in on 4/2 I was at level 30. Most of the six hours was leveling. XD
Excellent. I can't level up for more than 3 consecutive hours at a time, I get anxious to continue with the story/bored.
Yesterday I poured a couple of hours into Manhunt, and I got to a stage in the game where you shove a meat cleaver into an enemy's balls. Violence <3
Violence = <3 to the max. But I honestly prefer it in movies. [is a horror movie girl through and through]
I'm the kind of person who has to know what's next in the story. I run through at breakneck pace until I reach some impasse, then I start a new game file and actually take time to level up.
I so would have been a pioneer back in the day. "Must...see...new..land! Now!"
 Laura, thats the samewith me. I get so invloved in some stories i dont wana stop to pfft lv :ninja:
For those who've played FF8 : the junction system....yay or nay?
Junction system for me was the most confusing, giant learning curve to get it right. On the other hand, I thought the X's node board was great.
Anybody play the Fatal Frame serieson PS2?? That's some scary games right there!
At first I thought the junction system sucked, but as I progressed through the game I appreciated it more and more. It's also good for those obsessed with micro managing their characters.
Oh my GOD!
I adored the Junction system! I had the hang of it within ten minutes! <333 It was my bitch, for reelz!!
Seriously, I adored the Junction system, I had no problem with it. Everyone always says it sucked, or it was impossible to get the hang of, or it was annoying, blah blah blah, but I really, really loved it. I mean, sure, it was slightly more complex than most equip systems, on certain levels, but that was what made me love it! I had to stop and think, but after a while I was so great with it that I started having trouble with most of the other equip systems. XD Because I played 8 for so long I forgot there was a such thing as a regular equip system. XD
And I still never beat the damned game. I really miss it. My copy of 8 went to gaming heaven when someone borrowed it and I got it back scratched to shit.
And! And someone stole my copy 7, can you believe it?? And I had Tactics, too, but someone stole that one as well. Probably the same someone. [sighs]
And my copy of Chrono Cross, which took my brother and I about a year and a half to find a copy of, also got scratched when someone who borrowed it's sister got ahold of it. I could have kill the lil' bee-yatch, because I never got to beat the game! Rawr!
Yeah, I hate lending out games and then getting them back scratched beyond recognition. I let someone borrow FFIX and when I got it back it looked like if it had been used as a frisbee.
I think the easiest leveling up system for any FF game so far has been X, it's just a matter of choosing which techniques you want and select "yes".
I didn't like ten. I don't know. For some reason I totally hated it. I know I hate ten-2 because there should never be a sequel to an FF game, ever, for any reason(!).
But I guess I just hated the plot and the simplicity of everything. I play four hours of it when I rented it a while back, and I never rented it again. Plus I deleted the save file when I gave it back to the video rental place.
Just not my style, I guess.
No!! You have to give X a chance! I hated it at first, but then curiosity got the better of me and I ended up playing it all the way through...and I'm glad I did. There's a plot twist in that X that will make your mind implode.
If I don't like the beginning of a game, I won't like the rest of it.
I don't like the characters, I don't like the gameplay, I don't like the storyline, and what I've heard of the rest of it, and I don't like the battle system.
Plus, I have absolutely no curiosity towards anything in the plot, or how it ends, or anything. I simply don't care. So, then, why would I begin to play again?
That was the main reason, I think, that I stopped playing and such. I didn't give a shit about the characters or plot. Hell, I hated the characters, never mind not caring for them!
Its just not a good game, in my opinion. I mean, thats just me.
