Gee whiz, me and Stephen were born in the same month!
Bev, does this contain more material than the previous release?
I'll have more to say about this once it is officially announced but, in brief, yes -- a lot more material.
I’m very excited about this new companion, and pre-ordered it right away. The previous one has been my constant and much appreciated companion throughout my work on my PhD, I still take it out every couple of days to check things here and there.

Looking forward to this. Imbedded memorabilia or in sleeves like original edition?
I'll have more to say once the book has been officially announced.
This answers my email then :D
Sorry Bev!
Exciting news Bev. Looking forward to this.
I've just started reading The Road To The Dark Tower but am pausing until I get around to reading The Gunslinger again before I go too deep.
It seems we have a cover?

Ooh, that's nice!! Coming in hardcover? :excited:
I don't know if it's the scan, but the red on black of Bev's name and the subtitle are hard to read....
But then, I guess that it put the emphasis on King's name, which is likely to be the strategy
Bev's name is particularly hard to read! Still, it's a nice subtle cover I think.
That's not the final cover.
I'm still awaiting the green light to make an official announcement.

Awesome!
Will it include the scans as the first version of SK illustrated companion? I already preordered it anyway! :)
Looking forward to reading this Bev.
It won't have any detachable media like the first edition (paper costs make that prohibitive, apparently).
It is twice as long as the previous book and covers every one of King's books up to Fairy Tale, not just a select few like the Companion did, although not all in as great a depth. The "form factor" is different (it's about an inch shorter).
Can't wait to discover this one :)
You can see the table of contents here, along with links to pre-order from the various sites. I'm especially pleased that, unlike the SK Illustrated Companion, this is not a B&N exclusive -- it will be available everywhere English is spoken at all bookstores.
VERY excited for this one, Bev!
Thanks!
Pre-ordered - can't wait!
One of my favorite parts of the new book is the Castle Rock and Derry interludes, where I bring together everything known about those two cities.
The book's publication date has been advanced to September 13.
For anyone who would like to order a signed/inscribed copy of this book, Village Books, my neighborhood independent bookstore, has a link where you can do that: https://checkout.square.site/buy/2GH...PJMST3NZ7E3PQY
Moved to october 18th, apparently !
Thanks for letting me know. My publisher didn't! It's disappointing that the date is moving this close to when it was supposed to happen, but apparently it's a transportation issue involving boats, trains, trucks and other types of locomotion.
I feel bad for the local bookstore that had a launch day event set up for September 13...
Bev
Looks like publication date is back to 9/13!
Apologies my french (ahah), but bloody hell : make up your mind (the publisher)!
That ends up during my holidays though !
(PS : dumb question... but do you think there is a possibility of getting copies signed by you and king?)
According to my publicist: "Basically, a pub date is about four weeks from the books arriving at our distribution center. This is so there’s time for retailers and wholesalers to receive the books, and then ship to their customers. So…when it looked like books wouldn’t hit the warehouse until next month, the pubdate changed to October. Apparently books are now arriving"
I can't imagine Steve signing a copy since it's not his book. Copies signed by me can be ordered from our local bookstore, using this link: https://checkout.square.site/buy/2GH...PJMST3NZ7E3PQY If there's an issue with shipping not being accepted, contact https://www.myvillagebooks.com/
't was a joke ;)
Congrats Bev. Looking forward to reading it.
Another MUST HAVE by Bev. Thanks, Looking forward to getting my copy.
Brilliant book, Bev. Once again, it's a pleasure to read a book from you :)
Can't wait to recieve this :)
Thanks -- I've been very pleased by the response thus far.
