I don't have anything like that either. They look pretty cool.

Nice, I've been slowly collecting the 'Books about King' as well, specifically those that are limited. Not got that one. If you have the time can you add it to the catalogue section?

A 34 year old painting by Michael Whelan.

I saw this painting in person in 1998 or so at The Book Sail in Tustin, CA. It was owned by the eccentric and very rich John McLaughlin. I thought that I would like to own it one day but didn't think it would ever happen. A sequence of good fortune allowed me to buy it from the winner of the Heritage Auction. I'm very proud of it.

Congratulations. Iconic piece of art.
Awesome! Congratulations.
Wow. Period.
Congratulations Bob! I'm sure you're very proud to have that in your collection after so many years.
Congratulations Bob.
That painting belongs in your collection.
That's just awesome!
Congrats Bob!
Will you post a pic once it hangs on the wall? Are you going to display it in the basement, or somewhere else in the house?
I have no idea right now. It is a really big painting and I am short on wall space. Also the frame and matting have seen better days. I might elect to completely reframe it. I didn't tell my wife I was buying it and (good luck on my side for once) she is out of town right now and didn't see it delivered. I guess I'll show it to her when she gets home tomorrow. I might be in trouble with her.
