John
I love the look of the black traycase and book.
So Karen...
What is the next Stephen King project that Grant has in mind now that LSOE is almost done?
You are kidding, right?!?!? :D
Artist Edition #1253 arrived for me today.
As per my usual luck, no doodle or remarque...but what a beautiful book!
I realize my opinion is not popular here (so please no replies I know what you will all say) but, it is now 1/23 and no book. I was charged (according to my statement) on the 17th of December.
BTW Nerak. You are Karen French I am assuming?
I am one and the same. If you want to email me at work, I can check on your order. But it won't be until Monday as I am leaving in 13 minutes.
All single orders of artist editions have shipped out as of January 20th, unless there was a problem.
And, yes Matt, Patrick is very generous!
Karen: >< :panic: :scared:
That's ok, matching numbers are overrated anyway.
:nope:
Thanks RF, but it's cool. It's on all my emails at work anyway.
Karen, I love love LOVE the finished product!! Can't wait to get my copies - wooohoo!! :excited:
Many apologies you're right I wasn't thinking obviously My bad and my apologies.
As far as the other goes I just didn't want to get into another ugly discourse with folks who obviously think DMG is first rate. I disagree somewhat (there is no discussion on the quality of the product it is always A+++) as far as service but, the thread has moved on past my previous comments which, is for the better.
Again my apologies for naming names so to speak.
Actually I see your points about this discussion and I don't see why you should apologize. You have your opinion made and so does everyone. That doesn't mean you're wrong and the rest isn't...
I think the main point of why most didn't agree with you is that you compared DMG with CD...which (in my opinion) has a very poor way of doing bussiness. I didn't deal with many publishers and stores (as a matter of fact, another store I dealt was Silver Bullet Comics, which stole me 360 dollars in 2006), but CD charged me for something they never released, charged me for another book that was released a year later and when I asked for a refund, I had to said in the 3rd email that if I didn't receive a reply in the same week, I'd contact Marsha DeFilippo directly in order to inform her and King about the way CD does bussiness. When I said that, I got an inmediat refund and an email saying that they never receive the previous emails. Funny that I resend the same email and did the modifications in the body of it...
What I mean...there must be a lot of publishers that you can compare with DGM and get better points (Just kidding, Karen, you're the best!), and probably many who knew the publisher would agree with you. As I see it, CD wasn't the best company to compare...
I just have to reply - sorry - Personally I think you are being very harsh and impatient - lets face it, you did have that thing they call Christmas in between - most businesses close for a full 2 weeks over that time, which means you seem to have a beef about a delay of about 2-3 weeks from the date of your order - well, given that its pretty much the 2 folks at DMG processing, packing and shipping thousands of books, not to mention dealing with muppets like me who get their ccards stolen....then I think that is just fine. Us foreign folks wont see ours for a while yet anyhow, but thats cool......you want next day delivery, buy from Amazon.
If you want real delays try buying from CD, then i'd say you have a point, but DMG - they are the best.....
And if the books were shipped media mail or UPS ground that takes time. I buy from publishers in California and live in CT. Takes forever.
I know that one of these publishers, Bad Moon Books, Roy Robbins got tired of the complaints and now ships all his lettereds priority and the buyer now pays extra for shipping, I never had a problem with media mail. If I can save some money on shipping, I can allocate those funds to more books.
Mike, you are not a muppet, and you weren't even the first person with a stolen credit card.
And thanks for the compliments guys. We just do our job, that's it. We try to do it to the best of our ability. And that's all any one can ask.
I'm used to shipping taking ages - but that's because I'm in the UK. However, I have to say that, if you're polite, in my experience any enquiries are always dealt with very satisfactorily (DMG, SubPress and Peter Elliston)
