111. The Man Who Would Be King
112. Spellbound
To whomever said The Lion King, no laughter from me. It's still the greatest animated movie of all time.
jemaher, you posted those two movies too soon I'll do you one good and add Sin City. Not infringing on movie taste but I don't think I can morally add Hitman to the list.
Whomever nominated Kill Bill I joined them together as it was meant to be one movie but the studios wanted more money so they split it up. If people could watch Gone With The Wind back in 1939 in theatres they can watch something fast paced like Kill Bill all at once. Part 2 is awesome.
I know I won't get any other input and I've only put in 6 movies so if anyone is opposed to me nominated 4 here let met know.
Also, could someone double check the list in the OP to make sure there is no repeats and the numbers are right? Can't have an extra movie due to double numbers.
RUBE, I'm just going to put them all at random. Match them up like that. I would've done it by Genre but not enough of each. Don't worry, I'll have smaller ones for horror/comedy/action movies at some point. I'm sure this tournament will come down to hardcore dramas anyways.
113. Deliverance
114. Donnie Darko
115. The Godfather
116. Letters From Iwo Jima
This should leave 12 more. I'll decide the brackets tonight after Wrestlemania maybe, if not it will all be up tomorrow. I'll probably put the first two or three groups on.
Looks good Mattrick. And I'm fine with Kill Bill being combined. I always saw it as 1 film anyways.
119. Eraserhead
120. It's A Wonderful Life
You beat me Brice, I just came in to post It's a Wonderful Life!
121. Triplets of Belleville
122. The Green Mile
123. Jacob's Ladder
124. Fantasia
Casino
126. Die Hard
127. Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring
(If I could pick the last one I would go with Full Metal Jacket.)
128. Full Metal Jacket
Dawn Of The Dead
Then that does it. Now we just wait for the tournament to start.
if Brince is ok with it, can we replace Dawn of the Dead with Night Of The Living Dead (black and white version)? it was the ground breaker and i think it deserves the spot more than ether of the DoDs.
but it is ur choice Brice
130. Dogma
131. Half Baked
I'd already considered it and while I'd agree that NotLD was more groundbreaking DotD was the better film.
Oh...my bad
I love the remake too, even though I usually hate them. In this case I meant the original though.
Elimation Stips:
Each bracket will be split in half until only one in each remains. Then the final sixteen will be fought in one on one battles until there is only one.
Brice: I've already nominated It's a Wonderful Life, it's my all-time favorite.
