Great work IR!
Nice one IR  I think it looks great black and white!
Bohemke, I really like the top sketch of just the hands whittling the key...I like all the sketches, but that part is my favourite.
Matt - I think you're right, it would add to the general grossness if I buried the baboon's fingers deeper
I was just thinking of the original description of the card in the books and it said they were kind of "in" him.
It really creeped me out at the time. :scared:
thankee-sais, all of you!
i honestly thought his face might be a little TOO young..he's supposed to be late 20's isnt't he? he looks lik a teenager there....
Great pics so far. By the way the monkey in Darkthoughts's picture is a Mandrill. It's a scary looking critter with it's ridged blue cheeks, a good choice for the monkey on Eddies back!
 Well I didn't know that! I just put in a search for baboons and got a photo of the mandrill which I used as a model.
i think a mandrill is just a species of baboon or soemthing isn't it?
thankee-sais XD
First let me say I think you did an excellent job on your drawing. Nicely done. :)
As for Eddie's age, he is either supposed to be 21 or 23 depending on which page of The Drawing of the Three is to be believed. Either way, I don't think you made him too young.
thankee-sai RoG, makes me feel better, say thankya!
Okay, all, two more days!!!! Post it if ya got it!
According to that wiki site they used to be classed as a species of baboon, but after DNA analysis, they changed their mind. (The scientists not the monkey ;) ) They are thought to be related though. Mandrills are bigger. Baboons have the dog-like snout but they don't have the blue face ridges.
That wasn't intended as a criticism of your picture though Darkthoughts! The Mandrill looks pretty freaky and works well in context. It's a big ol' monkey, that's the main thing. Stick with that one!
