I would solicit the book, or use one of my extra copies.
FYI, there are less than 100 unique donors, and less than 420 total entries.
Pretty good odds.
Jerome, did you receive my donation?
Pretty sure he did, but in the vein of me winning this year we buried it somewhere. Merlin is the new, Ari!!!

Anyone know the date? 05-21-2014 07:08 AMthegunslinger41I only have 1 submission.....which is about as high of odds as it gets compared to the cavs getting the #1 pick the last 3 out of 4 years. 05-21-2014 08:55 AMcit74 05-21-2014 12:14 PMRandall FlaggTBD.
I plan on drawing the smaller prizes tomorrow (5/22/2014)
Once that is done, I mail the tickets to Brian Freeman at CD. He will draw the grand prize winner's name. It takes all the pressure off of me.
I am hoping he will draw the GP winner on 5/27 or 5/28. 05-21-2014 12:35 PMAronstgRF
Even if you win one of the smaller prizes you are still eligible for the Grand Prize correct? I'm pretty excited about this! I don't have a lot of entries but a lot of the fun is just going through the process! 05-21-2014 12:39 PMRandall Flagg 05-21-2014 02:49 PMtippy4I am glad someone asked this because I can never remember, and in truth thought that once you won a "lesser prize", you were out of the running for the "Grand Prize".
Glad to hear that is not that case.
So, those that have ten entries in the prize pool have ten, ~1/420 chances to win....so is that the same as saying you have ~1/42 chance to win? 05-21-2014 03:02 PMRandall Flagg 05-21-2014 03:35 PMstroppygoblinYes, as all your chances are put into a single draw, then you have 10 entries out of the total 420 which equates to 420/10 or 1 in 42.
The odds of winning any prize are improved for you each time someone else wins as your total remains constant, but the number of total entries diminishes (ie 419/10 or 1 in 41.9)
If you win a smaller prize, your odds of winning again are diminished (420/9) or 1 in 46.5555
So if you don't win ANY smaller prize, you have a better chance of winning the Grand Prize! :) 05-21-2014 07:17 PMMerlin1958This is all "Moot" as this is my year, I feel it in my bones!!! LOL 05-21-2014 07:27 PMdnemecWhoa...this is way to much math. Just let me know who needs my address to send me my prize!
