Going there for a Giants vs. PADRES baseball game. 08-08-2022 11:52 PMherbertwestenjoy your vacation! 01-17-2023 05:50 AMherbertwestHow you doing boss? 01-17-2023 07:53 AMRandall FlaggIt's been a rough couple of months. In early November, following a bad slip and fall, I fractured my sacroiliac (sacrum). It was a very painful disabling injury. For 10 days I was bed ridden, then had to use a walker for 2 weeks. Much like broken ribs, there is little that can be done. The prescribed therapy is rest, painkillers, and time. This is followed up by physical therapy.
I've gotten to the point I can walk without assistance for about 300 feet. Slowly but surely I am getting better. Thanks for the concern. 01-17-2023 09:05 AMur2ndbiggestfanHang in there, Jerome.
And send those unused painkillers to me!
Just kidding (I think). 01-17-2023 09:12 AMherbertwest 01-17-2023 03:55 PMGarrellStay strong Jerome. Praying for a faster healing...we need you. 01-17-2023 04:39 PMRandall FlaggNot to create a stir, but this may be my last hurrah. If anyone has noticed, I haven't even put up a thread/contribute button, to keep the site ad free and vibrant.
I spend out of pocket over $1,500 a year for hosting, URL renewal, and hardware upgrades to the server/servers needed to host this site.
Traffic is down, but this is still the greatest, most informative, most encyclopedic Stephen King site on the web.
I'd love to hear some encouragement, perhaps in a different thread. 01-18-2023 06:41 AMHeather19Hope you're feeling better soon Jerome. Wishing you a speedy recovery! 01-18-2023 09:44 AMGeorge at C-SpringsHopefully reading you wrong, and that the last hurrah you're talking about isn't about your health. Would hate to lose your running of the site and contributions to the community, but would be far worse to lose you. 01-18-2023 10:00 AMmaePlease get feeling better soon, boss! Good vibes. 01-18-2023 05:55 PMbecca69 01-26-2023 02:03 PMAri_RacingHope you're feeling a lot better now, J!
There's no other place in the internet like this one about SK. Period. In my opinion the Contribute button should always be up and available. No need to giveaway anything IMO. If we are 75 active members, just $20 each would cover it.Quote:
