The answer to the math problem is -12 :D
So Johnsmith is the winner!!
I hope everyone had fun watching the videos even if they didn't get a chance to participate. I think its cool that you guys know what great friends the people who ultimately run the site are.
wait, I did that math out in my head and on the calculator twice...how is my answer wrong?!?!?
5-10 (15)-5 (-10) x23(-230)/2 to the 3rd [8] (-28.75) plus 3 to the 2nd [9] (-19.75) -7 = -26.75
Right or am I doin somethin wrong?
You have to use the order of operations Karen which means the exponents happen first, then the multiplication, then the subtraction.
5-10-5x23/2^3+3^2-7 = 5-10-5x23/8+9-7 = 5-10-115/8+9-7 = -120/10 = -12
:D
At least, that is how they taught me to do it. I could be totally wrong
If it was one point for you to win, I would give it to you as the only person who tried.
Oops, I messed up. It ends up -120 on the top so the answer is -12
